Katie's passion for songwriting is evident in her poignant lyrics and captivating melodies. Through her portfolio, she weaves personal stories and universal themes that resonate with listeners. From heartfelt ballads to upbeat tunes, Katie's work reflects her essence and dedication to the craft.
Her Story
Songwriting began as a form of self-expression for Katie in her younger years. However, while finishing her degree in Commercial Music at Liberty University, Katie realized (with the encouragement of an amazing professor) that her gift for songwriting was actually something special. Within 6 months of writing in earnest, Katie's song "Leavin' With You" was selected as one of the Nashville Songwriters Association's "Best Of", and she was invited to play at Tin Pan South songwriting festival in Nashville. She looks forward to many more moments like this as she continutes to write from the heart.
